Our Story
In 1977, Carol Rizer & Marlene Newton opened their Merle Norman Cosmetics business in Elizabethtown, Kentucky. Over the course of 46 years it has expanded to include the Day Spa, and Norm's For Men Day Spa. Merle Norman was sold, and the spa was renamed to the now well known MAGNOLIA DAY SPA.

In 2023, Amy Perry and Emily Mills took over ownership of Magnolia Day Spa to continue the Legacy and keep Magnolia going for years to come!

Amy is a co-owner as of 2023, in addition to being a Licensed Massage Therapist, Licensed Esthetician, and Licensed Nail Technician. She is certified in Permanent Makeup by Nouveau Contour Academy in Orlando, Florida. She has been at Magnolia Day Spa for over 25 years. She is married to her high school sweetheart and has 2 beautiful daughters. She is very family oriented and loves to travel.
Emily Mills

Co-Owner, Esthetician, PMU Artist
Emily is a co-owner and brow specialist. She is also a Licensed Esthetician and completed her training at Douglas J Aveda Institute - Ann Arbor Michigan in 2006. She has been at Magnolia Day Spa since 2008. She has been certified by Michigan and Kentucky State Board. Emily is a GiGi Waxing Certified Professional from the The Academy, and PCA Skin Certified Professional in 2014, 2019 & 2023. She completed her Volume Eyelash Extension training in NYC in 2015. She moved to KY from Michigan in 2008, and she is married with 3 children.

Carol is a previous owner, and also Amy's mother! She is continuing to work with us after passing her business on. She is trained in multiple massage techniques. She has a passion for helping people better themselves along with their mind, body, and spirit. In her free time she enjoys spending time and traveling with her 2 children, and 4 grandchildren.

Marlene is a previous owner and is finishing out the year with us. She is passionate about our guests receiving the best every time they walk through the door. In her spare time she enjoys traveling, spending time with her family and her dog, Molly. She also has a new grandbaby on the way!

Dee has been a massage therapist for 18 years. She has had the opportunity to work in several states and in various environments. Spas, Fitness Centers, and owning her own business. Dee enjoys all modalities of massage and does her very best to make each client comfortable and pays close attention to their needs.

Tiffany enjoys helping all of her guests feel relaxed and stress free. All of her massages are customized to your preferred pressure and she loves to help make you feel your best! Tiffany offers cupping, hot stone massage and customized massage.

Courtney has been a licensed Massage Therapist since Feb 2024. She completed two internships as a student to increase her confidence and knowledge. Her goal as a therapist is to identify sources of pain and help assist your body into healing. She incorporates multiple massage techniques and modalities each session. All massages are customized to you and what you need. Courtneys overall goal with every client is for them to leave feeling like their best.

Christy is one of our newest Estheticians! She really enjoys relaxing our guests with our hot stone facial - the customized facial! When Christy isn't at the spa pampering her guests, she is spending time with her friends and family. She enjoys shopping and thrifting!
Lilly is a recent graduate and is excited to hit the ground running in the Esthetics world! She plans to continue her education and growth. Her passion is to make you feel as beautiful as you are. She enjoys spending her free time traveling and spending time with her friends, family and boyfriend!
Delfina is our lead receptionist and guest services manager, and she has been at Magnolia Day Spa Since Jan 2017. Originally from Michigan, she moved to Elizabethtown in 2006. She is an artist and a free spirit!
