Our Story
In 1977, Carol Rizer & Marlene Newton opened their Merle Norman Cosmetics business in Elizabethtown, Kentucky. Over the course of 46 years it has expanded to include the Day Spa, and Norm's For Men Day Spa. Merle Norman was sold, and the spa was renamed to the now well known MAGNOLIA DAY SPA.
In 2023, Amy Perry and Emily Mills took over ownership of Magnolia Day Spa to continue the Legacy and keep Magnolia going for years to come!

Amy is a co-owner as of 2023, in addition to being a Licensed Massage Therapist, Licensed Esthetician, and Licensed Nail Technician. She is certified in Permanent Makeup by Nouveau Contour Academy in Orlando, Florida. She has been at Magnolia Day Spa for over 25 years. She is married to her high school sweetheart and has 2 beautiful daughters. She is very family oriented and loves to travel.
Emily Mills
Emily Mills
Co-Owner, Esthetician, PMU Artist
Emily is a co-owner and brow specialist. She is also a Licensed Esthetician and completed her training at Douglas J Aveda Institute - Ann Arbor Michigan in 2006. She has been at Magnolia Day Spa since 2008. She has been certified by Michigan and Kentucky State Board. Emily is a GiGi Waxing Certified Professional from the The Academy, and PCA Skin Certified Professional in 2014, 2019 & 2023. She completed her Volume Eyelash Extension training in NYC in 2015. She moved to KY from Michigan in 2008, and she is married with 3 children.

Carol is a familiar and special part of the Magnolia family! As a previous owner of the spa and Amy’s mom, she has helped shape the business into what it is today. Even after passing the business on, Carol continues to share her experience, knowledge, and caring heart with our clients.
Carol is trained in multiple massage techniques and has a true passion for helping people nurture their mind, body, and spirit.
When she’s not at the spa, Carol enjoys spending time and traveling with her two children and four grandchildren. Family means so much to her, and she loves making memories with the people closest to her.
Jackie
Nail Technician / Cosmetologist
With over 30 years of experience as a licensed cosmetologist, Jackie brings a wealth of knowledge, skill, and care to everything she does.
What she enjoys most is helping people look and feel the very best they possibly can. She loves making each person feel special, confident, and cared for, because she knows that sometimes a little pampering can make a big difference!

Nail Technician / Cosmetologist
Talya joined the Magnolia Spa team in May 2025, and we’re so happy to have her with us!
Talya is a passionate nail technician who loves helping clients maintain healthy, beautiful nails. She has an artistic eye and loves bringing each client's vision to life, whether it's a fresh, simple look or something a little more creative.
Her favorite services include Gel-X, builder gel, gel polish, and classic polish for manicures and pedicures. She loves combining her creativity with her knowledge of nail care to help every client leave feeling confident and beautiful.

Lilly has a passion for helping you feel as beautiful as you are! As a PCA-certified professional, she loves helping clients feel refreshed, confident, and cared for through a variety of services.
From lashes and chemical peels to facials, manicures, pedicures, and waxing, Lilly enjoys helping you look and feel your very best. Whether you're treating yourself to a little maintenance or taking some much-needed time for self-care, she's happy to be part of your beauty journey.
When she's not at the spa, Lilly enjoys traveling and making memories with her friends, family, and fiancé.

Eleena believes that skincare is about more than just looking good. It’s about understanding your skin, learning how to care for it properly, and feeling confident in yourself. She loves educating her clients and helping them discover ways to care for their skin both in the spa and at home. Her goal is to make every guest feel comfortable, cared for, and empowered throughout their skincare journey.
Some of Eleena’s favorite services to perform are back facials and waxing. Shes currently pursuing her massage therapy certification so she can continue expanding her knowledge and the services she can offer.
Emylie is a license Esthetician and loves helping clients feel confident, beautiful, and comfortable in their own skin. She has continued to advance her skills in lash extensions and waxing, allowing her to focus on the details that help each client feel polished and refreshed.
Whether you’re looking for beautiful lashes, a fresh look, or a little extra self-care, Emylie loves being part of that experience. She loves to travel in her time off and enjoy her time with her family!
Brandy has been practicing the art of massage therapy since 2020. She loves customizing your treatment plan to suit your individual needs. Brandy is skilled and trained in injury care, deep tissue, myofascial release and relaxation. Outside of work she loves spending time with family, being outdoors when its warm, crafting and of course spending time with God.

Licensed Massage Therapist
Cherree graduated from the Professional Clinical Massage Therapy Program at Southeastern College in South Carolina in 2020. She specializes in Swedish massage, clinical neuromuscular therapy, cupping therapy, and hot stone massage. With her knowledge and experience, she can tailor each session to meet her clients’ individual needs.
She also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Sports Medicine from Coastal Carolina University, giving her a strong understanding of the body and how massage therapy can help support relaxation, mobility, and relief from muscle tension.
Ellaka graduated from massage therapeutics in Louisville in early 2025 and has a genuine passion for massage therapy and helping others feel their very best.
She believes massage is about more than just relaxation. It’s an opportunity to slow down, release the stress of everyday life, and give your mind and body the care they deserve. She loves being able to help people feel more comfortable, relaxed, and refreshed through the power of therapeutic touch.
Taylor joined the Magnolia Spa team in 2026 and hit the ground running! She has been a wonderful addition to our team, and we love the warmth and welcoming personality she brings to the spa.
Taylor truly enjoys making our guests feel comfortable, welcomed, and cared for from the moment they walk through our doors. She understands that visiting the spa is about more than an appointment. It’s about taking time for yourself, feeling at ease, and enjoying an experience where you feel valued and appreciated.

Morgan joined our Magnolia Spa Team in August of 2025. She is engaged and expecting her first baby! She enjoys spending time with her fiancé and family. She loves helping people and spreading positivity wherever she can!
